The Relentless "Black Knight" who could only be taken out by marking him in both legs and arms

What's in a Game?

How much fun are the events? Well, if you're a Monty Python fan, this last one was right up your alley. The two-day Quest 99 event, held in Pennsylvania, consisted of two large armies - the Knights and the Repressed Peasants. And yes, there was even a Castle Anthrax. And yes, there were the Knights who say Nee, and finally, yes again, teams had to cross the Bridge of Peril and answer three questions. Most of you know the story line, and for those who don't, well, it really doesn't matter according to Peg. What matters is that the Iron Maidens held the castle for a full day. Taking tons of paint by the hour, the fearless femme fetales held their own, never realizing that the Holy Grail, for which all contenders fought to locate, was at all times below their feet. Hidden within the castle walls was the very object that they sought. But then again, it's hard to look around a castle when teams trying to prove themselves against the Maiden's reputation for fearlessness are storming the castle walls...what's a gal to do? If you're an Iron Maiden, you simply blast your challengers back into their home state.

How to Get Started

Beware of " TheEnchanter" who could only be taken out by marking his magic staff

Most places rent equipment to newbies, so don't be afraid to show up at your local paintball HQ and ask for help. There are a few things to keep in mind; first, you will get shot. While there are no lasting effects from getting pelted with a paint pellet, getting hit in an unprotected place will sting. So, to minimize any possible trauma, do this:

* Dress smart - Wear long pants and long-sleeved shirt. Denim is fine, many wear military fatigues.

* Shoes - Be smart people...No sandals. Boots work best. Why? You'll be running over some rough terrain, so think support and traction.

* Remember your hands - I've been hit on my knuckles while shooting from a protected bunker...doesn't feel good. Wear gloves (cycling gloves work well).

* Consider a cup - This applies to both sexes. Enough said.

Safety

The number one thing to remember is safety. Make sure that your face shield fits, and once you're on the playing field, never - and I mean never - remove it while out there. Wherever you play, there will be rules. Some are local rules; others are nationally followed rules. Doesn't matter. Follow them. They're there for your own protection. Make sure you listen to the people who have been playing the sport for a while, you can learn a lot.

The number one thing to remember is...HAVE FUN!

The dreaded "Killer Rabbits" could only be taken out of the game with the coveted "Holy Hand Grenade"
